Russell has over 30 years of continuous experience in the investment management industry, specialising in managing discretionary investment portfolios for private clients and institutions. Russell has a particular interest in the quoted property sector having worked as a property analyst managing specialist property and income orientated funds for many years. Russell was a founding director of FIM Capital Limited in 2006 and is an individually chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment in the UK and Isle of Man. He is a director of FIM Capital Limited, the Broader European Investment Fund plc, First World Hybrid Real Estate Limited and Marriott (Isle of Man) Limited.

Ken Watterson – Non Executive Chairman
Ken, a graduate of St Andrews and London Guildhall universities, spent 27 years working in audit, private banking and fund management. In 2007, with a Masters degree in Finance, in which he specialised in corporate governance and his background in operations, risk and compliance, he established a successful consultancy, providing advisory services to a wide range of companies within the financial sector. He has since 2014 focussed on his career as a non executive director. Ken’s main interest is corporate governance and his roles include chairman of audit, risk and compliance committees.
Ken is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a recently retired Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He was also a Fellow of the (now closed) Compliance Institute. In addition to being a non executive director of FIM Capital, Ken also holds directorships of an AIM listed fund manager with an eastern European focus and a private bank.

Philip Scales – Deputy Chairman
Philip has over 40 years’ experience working offshore in corporate, trust, and third party administration. For 18 years, he was Managing Director of Barings Isle of Man (subsequently to become Northern Trust) where he specialised in establishing offshore fund structures, latterly in the closed-ended arena (both listed and unlisted entities).
Philip was a founder director of IOMA Fund and Investment Management Limited in January 2006 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. He holds a number of directorships of listed companies and collective investment schemes.

Mary Tait – Investment Director
Born in Dublin and living on the Isle of Man since 1987, Mary joined FIM Capital Limited in January 2010, specialising in management of private client and fiduciary investment mandates, while providing bespoke portfolio evaluation services to multinational high-value wealth structures. Mary has gained a wealth of experience in the investment industry since her career started in 1993, previously working alongside Paul Crocker in a similar role for local branches of two international private banks. Mary is an individually chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment in the UK and Isle of Man and is a Fellow of the Institute of Administrative Management.

Paul Crocker – Investment Director
Paul joined FIM Capital Limited in November 2008 and has a wealth of experience in the investment management industry gained over 30 years. Originating from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, his career started in the south of England in 1985 as a stockbroker, subsequently he was elected as a Member of the London Stock Exchange. He moved to the Isle of Man in 1991 to manage global high net worth clients for a private bank and has since been involved in fund management and corporate finance as well traditional private client management. Paul is an individually chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment in the UK and Isle of Man.

Graham Smith – Chief Executive Officer
Graham Smith is a graduate of Cambridge University and a chartered accountant. He has over thirty years financial management experience, primarily in the life assurance and investment funds sectors, spanning privately held companies and major blue chip companies, and has been with FIM Capital since 2007. In addition to his position as a director of FIM Capital he serves on the board of a number of client companies, both quoted and private. He is fluent in German and conversant in French, but his international business experience and interest are by no means limited to Europe.
